The ideal mod for media servers...
The HP ProLiant Microserver is incredibly versatile, and many of you have been putting them to use as media servers using Windows Home Server software. This is great, but without logging in to the machine remotely or connecting a monitor there has been no way to see system status information. Until now.
We've been busy modifying the Microserver and have fitted an LCD panel into the optical bay that is driven by software to provide a wide range of system information on the front of the server. Everything from CPU and memory status, IP and network traffic information, storage status (used/free), to RSS feeds including the news and weather!
We're currently only shipping these LCD panels with the pre-configured Home Server 2011 bundle below, although we will shortly be listing the LCD panels and installation kits on our website.
